Brand Strategy: James Wu for Briteweb
Copywriting: Mailande Moran for Briteweb
Website Design: Briteweb
In 2015, Studio Tomo’s Founder and Managing Director, James Wu, was hired by branding and digital agency, Briteweb, to lead brand strategy for Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors’ to serve as a foundation for its website redesign. By helping the organization rethink and redefine its positioning, personality, and key messaging, James and the Briteweb team developed a new articulation of the organization’s role as a trusted advisor that helps make philanthropy “more thoughtful, effective, and meaningful” for their partners. While their logo was off limits, updates were made to the color palette, typography, and graphic elements to infuse their new website with a more modern and sophisticated look and feel.

“James led the branding strategy and messaging work for our organization and we now have a clearer, sharper sense of how we convey who we are to the public. He brought a keen eye and ear — and a sense of humor — to the entire process.”
— Nick Hodges, SVP & COO, Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors
